Fifi,
I love your "Last night I dreamt..." set! I think both prints are so beautiful. They background reminds me a little of a more cheerful Edward Gorey and you look a little like the umbrella girl on Morton Salt! Very iconic.
We're friends on facebook, and I'm from East Bay, CA!
Thank you,
Katherine J Lee

I'll be contacting you guys soon for your addresses so that I can send you your very special prizes!

MASSIVE commiserations to everyone else but also a huge thank you! I was overwhelmed at the response (it took me an age to write all your names down!) and you all left such lovely messages. I really appreciate all your comments whether through a comp or not, it's definitely keeps my spirits up and keeps me writing my little blog

a bit more about the original drawing...
Drawn onto heavyweight 220g/m acid free cartridge paper the drawing is titled, signed and dated by the artist on the reverse. Fifi and Sonny measure approx. 100mm from the tips of their ears to the tips of their paws

a bit more about the prints....
The prints measure 210mm x 297mm (the butterflies include a white border all round) they are printed onto 100% cotton archival quality 225g/m paper, the paper is reminiscent of smooth watercolour paper giving the print a lovely soft texture and vibrant colour.

my heart belongs to paris

Happy Valentines day everyone.
I am so excited because yesterday morning Sonny woke me up and flew me to Paris! (actually I was a teensy bit miffed when we got on the plane at Kennedy because I realised I was going to miss two whole days of the fall shows but I had to forgive him when he told me where we were going)

So now I am writing this in a gorgeous little wi fi cafe with a steaming hot cup of chocolate and a delicious french pastry... we've already been to see the Eiffel Tower and I took some snaps on my beloved polaroid, of course I've seen it many times but the romance of it never ceases to amaze me...

we asked a very sweet tourist to take our picture, she was all the way from Korea and had actually heard of me so I was very excited and felt like a film star! We are both wearing Bottega Venetta, doesn't Sonny look smart in his suit... it was my valentines present to him (and of course I just had to buy the matching dress!)

I even bought him the gorgeous leather briefcase but he was having none of it and said it looked like a handbag - you know what he's like, he doesn't really understand fashion. I tried to tell him that man bags are all the rage

Here's my valentines card to Sonny. I'd love to say I had a studio set up to create this shot but actually Ruby helped me to photoshop my head onto an orginal vogue clipping that was kindly lent to me by vintage photo collector Jessica.

sigh, glamour just seemed to come to easily in the 1930's

and here's Sonny's card to me, isn't he the sweetest? He created this especially for me. He's so clever, I love the simplicity of it and of course the fact that it says I'm beautiful!

...and this was his gift to me (as well as the trip to Paris - aren't I the lucky one!) I've only seen this picture so far but later on we are going to a private butterfly house where he says he has had some bred just like it... can you see the hidden fifi elements in the patterns on their wings? impossible don't you think? I reckon after nearly two years of dating Sonny I know him and his mischiveous ways pretty well and I'm certain that it's just some elaborate valentines hoax. I told him that if they are real I'll eat my Sonia Rykiel bowler hat and worryingly he told me I'd better bring some tommy k to make it more palletable!

have a really lovely day and come back Monday, I'm having a very special giveway

rain-coat

hello everyone,
sorry I have been a bit absent these last few days, there has been a lot to take in. someone even spotted a Fifi Lapin for LeSportSac bag on a Japanese TV show 'boys over flowers' - how cool is that...

hello little lady, what's that you've got there?

Oh my you have such great taste! A Fifi Lapin for LeSportSac bag, how did you get your hands on one of those? I can't even get my sticky paws on one!

I'm hoping that I am going to be able to bring you even more Fifi products one day but one step at a time eh... So anyway onto more important things. fashion shows! yes the new Autumn Winter 09 collections are beginning to strut themselves down the catwalk with the help of those long legged amazonian beauties, gosh they are tall aren't they - I feel like a midget when I go backstage!

So I had a sneak peek at Jenni Kayne (held at her parents house - don't you just love nosying around other peoples houses!) all very elegant and wearable and it looks like the trend for nerd glasses is set to run and run...

It's valentines day on saturday and I am so excited, Sonny says he is planning a little surprise for me!

a little bit about Fifi Lapin the most stylish of all rabbits

Good news everyone, the first print has been released for sale on the LeSportSac website. I love the new lunch date sac. I'm going to get two, one for me and one for Ruby. I was going to get one for Sonny but I'm not sure he'll dig the pink base colour!
he'll just have to wait for the sweethearts print - He'll like that one because he's on it - he is such a big head!

I really hope you all like them

oh and as promised here is the interview translated from little thing magazine...

NOT EVERY RABBIT CAN BE FIFI LAPIN!

1,Besides carrot, what is your favorite food?

Hmm, lettuce maybe, but it’s hard to beat a good carrot especially when it’s combined with cake!

2,You are indeed slim and chic, please share your secret of keeping yourself in excellent shape all the time

Well being a rabbit I do tend to eat a lot of vegetables which are very good for me. However, thanks to my carrot cake addiction I am a little round in the middle but I can hide that quite well with the help of some giant control knickers

3,Would you be glad to show us some of your hats? Are they custom made (for your ears)?

Yes I have some lovely hats, I just love them, I think they suit my cute little face really well. I get them customized with little slits so I can put my famously long and silky ears through.

4,How about your glasses ?

No need for me to customize glasses, luckily my head is quite big and they come up quite tight so they don’t fall off! I have a huge collection, my all time favorites are the split lens ones from Chanel

5,What’s your childhood like? What’s the dream you held when you were a bunny?

As you may have read before I lost my brothers and sisters to myxamatosis (a horrid illness that rabbits can get) when I was very little but really I was too young to remember. My childhood was really very happy. My parents doted on me and they loved to travel to all corners of the globe. It was at this time that I fell in love with the fashion capitals of the world and found my true calling - professional fashionista!

When I was little I used to dream of being a famous model like Twiggy or Kate but really I knew it would never come true, I just don’t have the legs for it. So I gave that up. Now I am aiming for plain old fashion icon. Coco Chanel is my muse

6,What did you wear when you are a little bunny? Dior baby or something else ?

Of course, baby Dior, baby Chanel, baby Gucci, I was sick on them all!

7,What is inside your handbag?

Some lippy and blusher, my cell phone, my gold card and a pair of emergency Lanvin ballet flats (shoes) even fashionistas get sore paws

8,Can we have a look at your wardrobe? Or would you describe it to us?

Actually It’s a whole room that I converted into a walk in wardrobe. I never wear the same thing twice and my clothes are forever changing so I need to have plenty of room. I had it custom made so that everything is exactly as I wanted it. It’s all set up like the most beautiful boutique with space between each item of clothing. my pet hate is when things are all squashed in so you can’t see anything. I have special shelves for my shoes and hats and a gorgeous old wood chest of drawers where I keep all my accessories. I give a lot of things away to my friends so they love coming to visit, there’s a lovely antique chaise and Louis chair and an art deco table for our refreshments. We can spend hours in there just having fun getting dressed up.

9,How can we interpret expression on your face? what's the signal I should be looking for which means you are happy

When I’m having my picture taken I go for the ‘sullen model’ look which is why sometimes I can look a little moody. If you look closely at some of my shots I am trying not to laugh! Also when I’m really happy my right ear bends inwards a bit, it’s weird I know but it’s true!

10,Do you love dresses more than trousers?

Oh yes definitely, trousers can sometimes make me look a little dumpy and anyway dresses are just way more fun

11,Other than styling and shopping what else do you commit yourself to ?

I support animal rights I never buy makeup that’s tested on animals, ew I can’t even bear to think about it. And if I like something with fur on it I always have one specially made for me using the fake stuff. It's very good you know. On a lighter note I love watching old films and also home décor. My favourite Sunday afternoon activity is browsing the fleamarkets at Porte de Clignancourt in Paris, Oh I’ve come back to shopping again, whoops!

12,Do you have some favorite games or toys?

when I was little I had a stuffed Peter rabbit toy that I used to take everywhere with me, it was so raggedy my parents used to try and swop it for other toys but I would never give it up, I’ve still got it somewhere

13,What’s your favorite book, and music? Please tell us some of your favorite movies.

Watership down breaks my heart every time and I also loved the velveteen rabbit when I was little, I don’t have much time to read novels but I just love fashion magazines! I have a really varied taste in music from Kimya Dawson to Kitty Daisy and Lewis. I’m also keen to hear Amy Winehouse’s new album, I’ve always wondered what I’d look like with a giant beehive.

As I mentioned earlier I love the classic Hollywood era. Sabrina and Breakfast at Tiffanys with the lovely Audrey, Top Hat starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and anything with Katharine Hepburn. Their glamour is just so appealing to me.

14,Name some items you like to collect in life?

Hmm, clothes, shoes, hats, handbags, jewellery etc. etc.
Oh and friends too!

15,What’s your favorite little things?

A beautiful biba bangle that my mother wore when she was younger and a tiny framed black and white picture of me and my childhood friend Ruby in a photo booth in New York. It was our first trip together and you can see how excited we are

16,Who has the strongest influence on your styling? Before and present ?

All the designers past and present who allow me to wear their amazing creations

17,Can you describe the so-called FASHION in your definition?

?

18,Given the choice, what place on the planet would you like to live?

Anywhere nice – as long as its London, New York, Paris or Milan!

19,How will you describe your Aesthetic ?

Cute and eclectic

20,Is there anything you can’t live without?

My puppy Stella, I can’t imagine life without her now that she’s finally toilet trained!

Hope I didn't sound to much of an airhead!
