My trip home from Singapore took longer than expected... zzzzzzzzzzz... and I never got round to showing you guys yesterdays outfit. So today you get two in one. Above is my shopping in Singapore outfit; that bag was full of goodies by the end of the day! Below is today's outfit...
Both Marni pre-fall 2010. I'm in love with those socks! Have a great Saturday everyone. Why not make it a day of decadence. Go on spoil yourself!
Is anyone wondering 'where has your week of wearing Marni gone'?
well get this...
Sonny had got me a gift after all! He surprised me yesterday with a VIP ticket to a Party to celebrate Mulberry's Fall 2010 collection...
...that just happened to be in Singapore!
It was a serious feat of timing as we arrived just in time to dance around the swimming pool to guest of honor Alexa Chung DJ'ing skills. The canapes weren't half bad either, who doesn't love mini fish and chips and just check out the cupcakes!
mini Alexa bags!
The show by the pool, you can just spot one of the giant kitsch glittery leopards!
The lovely Alexa, she's as nice as she looks!
I've started my shopping list already, just look at all those lovely accessories!
...and here's what i wore. Mulberry of course, from the Summer 2010 collection.
here it is on the catwalk.
I drank prosecco followed by margaritas followed by copious amounts of water back at the hotel. I am not good on a hangover and I knew I need to prepare for a day as a typical tourist - sightseeing and shopping. Yay! Thanks Sonny, all is forgiven!

Half way through my week of wearing Marni pre-fall 2010
I just finished my three pieces for the 3G show coming up at 1988 Gallery in Los Angeles. The show features the artwork of many artists inspired by three movies that defined one generation. Ghostbusters, The Goonies & Gremlins.
The opening night wil take place the friday, September 3rd from 7-10 PM The show will run till September 22nd. So hopefully some of you will be able to attend.
I'm so happy to be part of the show specially cause I recently showed these three movies almost in a row to my 6 years old boy, which BTW he loved them (of course) and later on I received an invitation to participate on this show :) ...Was that a premonition?
p.s. Only 7 days to go until the closing date of my fabulous competition. The other day I saw a beautiful piece called “Spaceman Stu” a McDonalds TV commercial created by the studio Kompost for Leo Burnett.
I love so much the whole piece, I think is an amazing work! And I remember the very first time I saw it, it felt very familiar to me. Now that I watched it closer I found out why is so familiar. There are a few similitudes of my work and I wonder if the people involved in the art referenced to it, which would be phenomenal or is just a happy coincidence?
Yesterday i got a beautifully wrapped parcel from my lovely editor Jocasta. Nestling inside the pink tissue tied with red ribbon was the first copy of my new book! It's so exciting to see it all come to life. All that hard work was definitely worth it. It looks amazing. I just know you're going to love it!
Here's a sneaky peek just for you!
...You can pre-order it here if you just can't wait a moment longer!
STOP PRESS! at the moment the book is not available in the USA or other countries but you can get it here with free delivery worldwide!

"In order to raise awareness on the global HIV/AIDS pandemic, the World Health Organization established World Aids Day in 1988. Observed on December 1st, it is a chance for organizations and individuals to “demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic.” According to 2008 data from the United Nations, approximately 33 million people around the world are living with HIV.
In Latin America, JWT worked with GAPA/BS (Grupo de Apoio à Prevenção à AIDS da Baixada Santista) on a campaign with the message “Be pure. Safe sex is never wrong.” GAPA/BS is a philanthropic foundation that hopes the campaign will change the perception of purity – that to remain pure, all it takes is protection. Several artists volunteered their talent for the project, creating art for T-shirts, print media, and animation."
